2K14 WIN Week 4 Player AwardsFBNYC, 2.4.14
UNDRCRWN™ PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Nate Jones (BOO)
Week 4 Stats
PPG: 22.0
RPG: 4.0
APG: 3.0
SPG: 2.0

In a powerhouse match-up that lived up to its billing, Jones led his Boomtown team to an OT win over a previously undefeated FBN. Jones is now scoring 25.5 ppg in his last 2 games.

R-Up: Will Johnson (BBR) 22 pts, 3 3FGs, 8 reb
The Sam Lo Award for Hustlers

Will Haile (FBN) 12 pts, 16 reb, 2 blk

Haile has been flat out killing it on the boards from the guard position. He now leads the league at 12.5 rpg clip. His 2.2 bpg is also tops.

Runner-Up: Ian Yu (REN) 11 reb, 8 ast, 3 stl
Wat Misaka Defensive Player of the Week

T. Cuadrado (SLR) 5 reb, 4 stl, 2 blk

The diminutive
Cuadrado returns, but he has been wreaking havoc on D all season, avg a league-high 6 spg and a block per game.

Runner-Up: Jason Crowell (REN) 7 reb, 3 blk
The High-5 Club

Tony Cuadrado (SLR) 9-5-1-4-2
Askia Davis (REN) 9-8-2-1-2
Will Haile (FBN) 12-16-1-2-2
Josh Krapf (PRS) 4-6-2-3-1
Leighton Kuet (SLR) 5-6-6-2-2
Tom Mahoney (SEA) 3-8-5-2-2
Jake Moreno (BOO) 13-12-1-1-1
Kunga Nyima (REN) 22-2-2-4-1
Kwame Owusu-Kesse (BBR) 4-2-2-2-1
Casey Shane (ACC) 7-2-4-1-1

Spot Dessert Bar™ Rookie of the Week

Sam Ho (SLR) 13 pts, 5 reb, 2 ast

The mobile forward has fit in well with the Rebels' uptempo style. He does a little bit of everything, and gives SLR decent size at his position.

Runner-Up
: Chaz Thomas (PRS) 14 pts, 6 reb, 3 stl

The "John Starks" Award

J. Bartlett (FBN) | 1-11 FG (.091)

After a red hot start to the season, Bartlett finally cooled during a tough loss to BOO. May be indicative of how reliant on 3FGs FBN is as a team.

Dishonorable Mention: T. Mahoney (SEA) 1-11 FGs
The "Chris Dudley" Award

Mike Beal (BBR) | 3-8 FTs (.375)

Beal can pretty much do it all on the court. Except make FTs (55% career FT% so far). Luckily, they didn't need his FTs to win this one.

Dishonorable Mention: C. Tavantzis (SEA) 3-7 FTs

2K14 WIN Week 3 Power RankingsFBNYC, 1.28.14

Winter 2014 Premier Division Power Rankings - Week 3
Rank Team Record
Team Notes
1. (=)

BBR

(2-0)

Basketball Reasons still looks like the team to beat this season. They have the league's biggest front-line, and there doesn't seem to be any letdown from last season's run to the title game. (F) Zack Simmons is playing at an MVP caliber clip right now. Unstoppable.
2. (=)

FBN

(3-0)

The Breakers have to be happy about two things: (F) James Bartlett and (F) Will Haile seem to have finally gotten on track offensively, and the 3FGs are now starting to drop. To the tune of 31 of 73 tries. That's 10+ makes per game. This team can put up some points.
3. (=)

BOO

(2-1)

Yet another semifinalist from last season, Boomtown looks every bit as solid as the two teams ranked before them. (G) Keith Markovich has given BOO a shooting specialist, and (F) Jake Moreno is back after a 2-gm absence.
4. (=)

REN

(1-2)

If (F) Jason Crowell is on the roster for good, the Renegades are going to be a tough out for any team. Their mix of high energy and athleticism will be a difficult match-up for most teams. The combo of Crowell and (F) Askia Davis is must-see stuff in this league.
5. (+1)

SEA

(1-1)

The Seamen narrowly gave up a difficult loss to FBN in their opener, but they looked very solid in a win over newbie PRS. (F) Chris Tavantzis is playing at a high level and if they can get (G) Tom Mahoney and (C) Ace Pidoriano going offensively, look out.
6. (+1)

SLR

(1-1)

The backcourt continues to keep opposing teams' TO rates high, but a lack of overall size already looked like an issue in a loss to REN. And (G) Manny Cuadrado has yet to have a big night offensive like he used to in D-I.
7. (-2)

PRS

(1-2)

Despite a solid debut, Principal Solutions has not looked particularly strong in two losses. (G) Ian Goldberg has been carrying a big load scoring nearly 40% of their points at 21.3 ppg. They may need a second option on offense.
8. (=)

ACC

(1-2)

The good news for the AC Cougars is that (F) Justin Drucker is back, and he looked good in his return from an ankle injury. Even better is at 1-2, they are not out of this playoff race yet. (C) Cooper McGuire has been solid as their hustle center, and (F) Dru Alvez has more to offer.
9. (=)

SOW

(0-3)

So far it's been a rough season for the Soho Warriors. They just can't seem to get any consistency on offense. Defensively, they have all the tools to be a very good team on D. They just have to find a way to put it together.
Observations... everybody must have hit the gym this winter... FG%s are sky-high... or nobody's playing any defense... Will Haile = stupid numbers... Tony Cuadrado is now aka "The Night Fox"... Simmons, Markovich & Bartlett are so hot right now... injury attorneys at law... Goldberg needs a sidekick... Warriors need a hero... somebody got dunked on last week... we won't say who... video footage coming soon... or later.
