2K12 FALL Week 2 Power RankingsFBNYC, 10.23.12
Prime Time leads the short list of contenders

NEW YORK, NY -- The Prime Time Players were already the league favorites to win the chip when they entered playoffs last season, but they fell short in the Semis. This time, they've made some strong changes to the roster to try to ensure they don't slip again. But, they aren't the only ones who upgraded. DB Strong has added a big man and yet another scorer. New teams have come into the fold. And now, BK All Day, one of this league's most dominant champions, is back. -- Kenny "The Jet" Li

1.

PTP (2-0)

Prime Time has added depth a roster that already included the league's best perimeter defender, (G) Alex Tsay, and best offensive big man, (C) Will Suchy. The dynamic duo is poised to make another run at the chip.
N/A

2.

DBS (2-1)

Despite the loss, DB Strong rounds off the short list of legit contenders so far. The add of (C) Rudi Coutain gives them the inside presence they've needed. Coupled with one of the league's most explosive offenses.
N/A

3.

FBN (1-0)

Fastbreak NYC is a misnomer. They're actually a big, physical team with a veteran laden roster. They won't overwhelm anyone with athleticism but their team play and dynamic (C) Youssef Hulse will take them far.
N/A

4.

DMF (1-0)

Captain (F) Young Yu's Men On Fire squad will be formidable and perhaps moving up this list very quickly. (G) Scott Yun is already off to a fast start and they have yet to see scoring maestro (G) Kash Miah on the floor.
N/A

5.

BKA (0-1)

BK All Day took a tough loss in their opener but they will get much better. (G) Anthony Fonseca and (G) Honey Tufail were unstoppable even in the loss. Add (G) Rommel Dolar in the mix and BKA will put up points.
N/A

6.

SXP (0-2)

The defending champion Sex Panthers lost their starting PG and PF in the off-season and have not yet gotten anything back other than D-II Misaka Award winner (F) Dan Tak. But, roster changes are in the works.
N/A

7.

FOR (0-2)

New franchise The Format has talent but they have yet to turn it into a W. (G) Kahree Brown may lead the league in assists and (F) Cedric Baptiste is in top form. When (G) C.B. Liu joins the team, they will be tough.

2K12 FALL Week 1 & 2 Player AwardsFBNYC, 10.22.12
Rudi Coutain (DBS)
C | 6-5 | 210 lbs
Week 1 & 2 Stats
PPG: 12.3
RPG: 17.0
BPG: 3.0

This used to be a (G) dominant league but that's changing very quickly as DB Strong's marquee free agent signing as them well fit for a return to the chip. He's given DBS exactly what they've lacked for the past couple of seasons, a dominant big man.

Runner-Up: Sid Menon (DBS) 19.3 ppg, 3.7 apg

Will Suchy (PTP)
F/C | 6-5 | 215 lbs
Week 1 & 2 Stats
PPG: 24.0
RPG: 10.0
SPG: 2.5

Prime Time was probably RED's go ahead to favorite to win the chip last season. With a couple of new additions, they look very focused on getting there. (C) Will Suchy is carrying the squad and putting MVP #s already for his undefeated team.

Runner-Up: Youssef Hulse (FBN) 20 pts, 6 reb, 1 stl

The Sam Lo Award for Hustlers

Will Haile (FBN) 17 reb, 1 stl, 1 blk

There's no better rebounder from the guard position than Haile. He could very well lead his team in rebounds this season.

Runner-Up: Rudi Coutain (DBS) 17 rpg, 3 bpg
Wat Misaka Defensive Player of the Week

Rudi Coutain (DBS) 17 rpg, 3 bpg

Thereis no more dominant defender in the paint than Coutain right now and he has given DBS a facelift. They had firepower, now they have D.

Runner-Up: Alex Tsay (PTP) 4 rpg, 5.5 spg

Ember Room™ Rookie of the Week

Youssef Hulse (FBN) 20 pts, 6 reb

In his first official season, Hulse was a little tentative at first but finished strong in the paint, including a dunk that surprised everyone.

Runner-Up: Patrick Armstrong (DBS) 15 ppg, 5 rpg

The "John Starks" Award

Shanti Garcia (BKA) | 3-14 FGs (.214)

This is Garcia's first game back after a long hiatus so we'll cut the shooter some slack. He actually did start this game shooting well. Then it faded.

Dishonorable Mention: R. Secharan (FOR) 3-13 FGs
The "Chris Dudley" Award

C. Baptiste (BKA) | 5-10 FTs (.500)

Maybe these FTs wouldn't have made much of a difference anyway. But, it sure would have made Baptiste's stat line look a whole lot better.

Dishonorable Mention: None worth mentioning.
