BK All Day finishes in top form

All Day rounds out an impressive regular season with an even more impressive win

We're going to go ahead and throw in this week's games for the PR. BK All Day holds their no. 1 position in convincing fashion with a blow out win over defending champs IVC. That game was for outright 1st place in the RED and BKA won it outright. They are the team to beat. Meanwhile, the only team that did beat them this season, DB Strong, faced a slight setback with a loss to an inspired Hypebeasts squad. Everyine in the Top 8 can feel like they have a chance, some of them just might be dreaming. -- "The Jet"

1.

BKA

(7-1)

Number 1 is where they were in the last PR and no. 1 is where they stay. This is the deepest, most talented team in the league. They can put up points with any team and when they buckle down and play defense like they did vs. IVC, they are virtually unbeatable.
+2

2.

DFC

(5-3)

First Class jumps IVC despite their season opening loss. They just seem to have more fire right now. The story has of this squad has been the emergence of (F) Mike Dougherty who not only gives them a capable scorer from the wing but a shut-down defender.
=

3.

TRI

(5-3)

Trillion almost looks bored right now and they've all but abandoned their trademark defense, counting on their league-leading offense instead. It might all be a ploy to turn it on in the playoffs. With a full roster, this is a stacked squad with championship pedigree.
-3

4.

IVC

(5-3)

iVentureCap has posted a couple of bad losses, the first of which, is a throwaway. The second, not so much. It may very well be championship hangover. They've played short-handed all season but they're still the defending champs. The playoffs is not the time to take them lightly.
+1

5.

HYP

(4-4)

The Hypebeasts jump Strong with a convincing victory this week. When they're running and gunning like this, they're tough to stop. (G) Anthony Buck has been a rock. (G) Ian Yu and his team hasn't won a chip yet but there's no time like the present to start. They have all the tools.
-1

6.

DBS

(4-4)

If DB Strong looks inconsistent, it's probably because they haven't had the same roster play twice in a row all season. They have plenty of talent on this team and additions (G) Mark Lee and (G) Sid Menon should go along way in the playoffs.
+1

7.

TEC

(3-5)

We thought that the combination of (F) Dinsmore Sohn and (G) Luke Greenberg would pay dividends. It did. With two bonafide playmakers now and an All-Star caliber (C) Phil Bausk, TEC is looking to surprise a few teams even without 6-7 (C) PJ Eannotti.
-1

8.

FBN

(3-5)

If this PR was done a week ago, they might have been in the Top 4 as this team of free agents really started to click. Instead, they're at the bottom after back-to-back losses in which they couldn't close out. This is another talented team that just hasn't gotten it all together yet.
=

9.

EQU

(0-8)

Ah, Ocha is going to have to write this one off as one of those downturn seasons. It's a rotation. If they decide to return, it should be to better returns. Rookie (F) Matt Neumann (9.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg) was solid in his first full season with EQU.
This probably goes without saying but none of this is meant to be taken too seriously. Play on, players.

Observations... if last night was any indication, the mythical beast known as "Playoff Rommel" is back... "Po-Ro" reigns supreme... Hypebeasts basically played a version of the Houston Oilers Run & Shoot vs. DB Strong... it was, in soccer terms, the counterattack perfected... a fearless brand of ball... Dinsmore Sohn saves... watch out for TEC, dark horse status... it's playoff time.

The TEC (C) finally got his wish to have his name up on the marquee. He deserved it. He's had a hell of a season and with back-to-back 20-and-10 games his previously floundering TEC team is now 3-5 and riding a 2 gm win streak into the playoffs.

Runner-Up: D. Sohn (TEC) 13 pts, 9 reb, 4 ast, 3 stl
D. Dowdie (DBS)

Week 9 Stats
PPG: 18.0
RPG: 9.0

Dowdie has had a solid season and this game in particular was a testament of how he's helped DBS reach the next level. As a tireless rebounder and physical finisher, Dowdie dominated the undersized FBN front-court and helped secure a needed win.

Runner-Up: Tony Hu (DFC) 19 pts, 10 reb, 1 ast
The Sam Lo Award for Hustlers

Dinsmore Sohn (TEC) 9 reb, 3 stl

Sohn did it again. It's amazing the difference he has made for this TEC team. He simply does it all, including the hustle plays.

Runner-Up: Mike Dougherty (DFC) 3 stl, 2 blk
Defensive Player of the Week

Mike Dougherty (DFC) 3 stl, 2 blk

We've never seen TRI (G) Kash Miah get shut down before. That is until now. There might ne other reasons but Dougerty was all over Miah.

Circle Rookie of the Week

Alok Aiyar (FBN) 15 pts, 6 reb, 5 ast

We've been waiting for a break out game from the crafty Aiyar. This was a solid effort in a loss. Hopefully, it's a sign of better things to come.

Runner-Up: Jeremy Bell (TRI) 13 pts, 8 reb, 2 stl
The "John Starks" Award

Kash Miah (TRI) | 2-12 FGs (.167)

I don't think we ever thought we'd see Miah in this box but 0-7 3FGs is shocking. An off-game or a result of extraordinary defense?

Dishonorable Mention: Sid Menon (DBS) 3-11 FGs
The "Chris Dudley" Award

Len Kamdang (TRI) | 1-4 FTs (.250)

Enh, we've seen worse and these FTs wouldn't have made any difference anyway but somebody has to go in the box. Len takes one for the team.

Dishonorable Mention: Phil Bausk (TEC) 5-9 FTs
