NEW YORK CITY -- Both these teams started 0-2 and have since bounced back to win two straight respectively. Both teams seem to have finally established some kind of identity and some team chemistry. So it should be interesting to see where both teams stand now.

Like UNV, the Punishers come in with plenty of bulk, led by (C) Jeremy Bell's league-high 15.5 rpg. Neither team has great overall speed but whereas UNV has the advantage in athleticism with (F) Askia Davis in the mix, PUN has the better shooters with (G) Ren Hsieh and (F) Roger Redhead. Though PUN does add speed with (G) Ace Watanasuparp now.

The key to this game should be who controls the boards. Both teams have very capable rebounders and defend the paint well. This should be a grind it out game despite PUN's league-second 62 ppg. -- Jeff Van Ghandi

Match-Up
(G) Ren Hsieh

B+

B+

(G) A. Jackson

Hsieh is a veteran who will set the table and take over in the 4th qtr. Jackson has been a very solid defender and his offense has improved as guards struggle to stay in front.
(G) Luke Greenberg

B

B

(G) Mayo Perez

Greenberg has been an able playmaker but hasn't shot well so far. Neither has Perez and (G) Brian Stanly shot better in his absence. Still, Perez can create and UNV will need him.
(F) Roger Redhead

B

B+

(F) Jerry Howard

Despite Redhead's woes from the 3-pt line so far (his specialty), he's been a great set-up man with a team-high 4.7 apg. Howard is also a good set up man and a point (F).
(F) Randall Avery

B

A

(F) Askia Davis

Avery has veteran savvy and his offense is coming around, he has good size at the pos. Davis is an athletic marvel and he is deadly from 15' in. Oh, and better box him out.
(C) Jeremy Bell

A

B

(C) Sedric Hawkins

The heart and soul of PUN is Bell, he's been a beast in every facet. Hawkins is part of a solid rotation of UNV centers. All have varying skills but all are big and physical.

BENCH
(G) Brian Stanly
(F) M. Jefferson
(F) J. Ragin
(F) W. Williams

Both these teams have deep benches with some significant contributors. Watanasuparp instantly increased PUN's overall speed and Halie is their 4th leading scorer at 11 ppg. Stanly had a stand out game for UNV and may be a go to shooter.

2K11 FALL Power Rankings (Week 4)FBNYC, 11.28.11
DB teams head of the fall class

NEW YORK CITY -- You can't ask for much more than this. No team undefeated and no team winless, these rankings could easily be reversed by the end of the season. It's real parity for once. DB teams First Class and Strong have been pleasant surprises while new faces (G) Sid Menon, (F) Askia Davis, (F) Al Corporan, (F) Jason MacPherson and (F) Jeremy Bell, to name a few, have given the league something fresh to watch. It's a long season but here's where teams stand so far. -- Kenny "The Jet" Li
2K11 FALL Power Rankings - Nov 28, 2011
Rank Team Record
Preview Notes
1. (+2)

DFC

3-1

First Class isn't the most balanced team but what they got, they have in spades. Their one loss came without All-FBNYC (C) Tony Hu. DFC boasts a fleet of young guards led by (G) Leuis Ng who create opportunities on D and in transition with Hu and (F) Young Yu operating in the half court.
2. (+4)

DBS

3-1

This is a welcome sight, to see how far DB Strong has come. Had they not taken a loss to DFC in Week 4, they would be no. 1. Of course, (F) Akin Moses and (G) Sid Menon, the league's leading scorer weren't there. With a full roster, it's hard to see how DBS can be beat.
3. (-2)

ASN

2-2

We had (C) Brian O'Neill as a Pre-season MVP, he has yet to show up to a game. Still, the Ninjagos are 2-2. They have plenty of talent in the backcourt and if and when O'Neill decides to join the team, they'll be contenders.
4. (-1)

TRI

2-2

They have the singularly most unstoppable player in the league in (G) Garrett James. And really, they have only one true loss, the 2nd came without James in the line-up. This team may hang around 4-5 in the rankings but they'll be in the championship conversation all season.
5. (+2)

UNV

2-2

After a rough start, UNV seems to have gained a foothold. Rookie (F) Askia Davis is a revelation. Look out from above. Guard play is a bit inconsistent but (G) Antonio Jackson is gaining a rep on D and (G) Brian Stanly's outburst in Wk 4 may prove they have some perimeter shooting after all.
6. (-2)

PUN

2-2

We've established now that the Punishers are old and slow but no team plays harder. They've been in every game and with plenty of vets in the mix, they will stay there. (F) Jeremy Bell and (G) Ren Hsieh look good so far and (F) Roger Redhead has yet to get it going. This could be a team on the move.
7. (-5)

IVC

1-3

Who could have guessed the two-time PAAG champs would fall to 1-3? An injury to (G) James "Chump" Choi (ankle), out indefinitely, doesn't bode well. As a team, they're shooting a dismal 35%. They're undersized and undermanned, they need vets (G) Mark Lee and (G) Mike Kim to step up.
8. (=)

SNO

1-3

One can't shake the feeling that if they had a full roster, they could put themselves over the top. (F) Will Cheung has been killing it night in and night out. The Owls look like they're just one big man away from making a run.
This probably goes without saying, but none of this is meant to be taken too seriously. Ball on.
Observations... this is one heck of a Most Outstanding Rookie race... Al Corporan or Askia Davis? ...Sid Menon would rather not be known as "The New Kash"... so new nicknames... Sid Menon aka "Sid the Kid"... Askia Davis aka "Still Like Air I Rise" aka "Rise and Shine"... we wonder if Jeremy Bell & The Punishers saw J. Edgar... hope you all hit the treadmills this weekend, games back on Wednesday
