ANALYSIS: BK All Day is on a roll, they're dropping teams left and right by technical knockout, or blowout in basketball terms. They have more scorers than you can account for, they only like depth in size but they make up for it with athleticism. The championship will go through BKA, make no mistake. (G) Anthony Fonseca is playing on another level right now. And, (G) Rommel Dolar is getting in on the action as well.

The Hypebeasts, however, are the probably one team that could not care less. They just don't get shaken. Finishing the season, 4-4, they never worried about who they faced in the post-season. After knocking off the favored defending champs, IVC, they're feeling good right now. They have talent and they play well together. Their uptempo attack should be a challenge for BKA, who likes to run out as well. This one should be a shoot-out with some extra fire. The last time these two met in the playoffs, there were plenty of fireworks to go around.-- FBNYC

(G) Anthony Fonseca

A+

B+

(G) Ian Yu

In Fonseca, BKA has the singularly most unstoppable player in the RED and likely the MVP. Yu, however, is a vet who has skillfully orchestrated HYP's uptempo attack.
(G) Rommel Dolar

B+

B+

(G) Anthony Buck

The only reason Dolar is not an A is that he defers to Fonseca and Zahriyeh. He can take over games. Buck has proven to be a strong, versatile gamer. He makes plays.
(F) Raphael Zahriyeh

A

A

(F) Jason Wu

Zahriyeh is a machine, he's like Agent Smith in the Matrix. He will not stop attacking you. Wu is a born scorer and if he gets it going, HYP always has a chance to win.
(F) Tom Finale

B+

B

(F) Dave Liu

Finale is also underrated here because we haven't seen him in enough games. The man just knows how to drop buckets. Liu is a solid defender who can score if needed.
(C) Will Rodriguez

B

(F) Howie Chu

Tough veteran Rodriguez can bang with the biggest of them and will make you work for everything. Chu is an able scorer in the low post and has extended his range to 3.

BKA doesn't have a deep bench but they put in solid veteran play with defense and ball control. HYP had a deep bench through the regular season but the guards have all gone back to school. Jeffrey "Birdman" Lam is big on hustle and Li is starter level talent.

ANALYSIS: This may be the most anticipated match-up of the 2K11 SUM season. After winning a championship two seasons ago and failing to reach the final last season, Club Trillion let veteran (F) Young Yu go and added (F) Lamar Smith and (F) Chris Youn. The change has paid dividends but Yu himself formed his own team, DB First Class, one of the league's more formidable teams, a contender in fact, like Trillion.

First Class may be the most dangerous dark horse left with (F) Tony Hu and (F) Mike Dougherty playing at a high level. Youthful additions (G) Leuis Ng and (F) Mike Ha tempered by the veteran play of (F) Myong Choi and (F) Gene Kim have helped but its Yu who is the heart and soul, having his best season in recent years. Which isn't to say TRI is going to roll over. It's going to be a battle and TRI is the higher seed. They haven't had the same penchant for defense this season but few teams can score with them. This one's going to be a barnburner.

Chen is one of the league's best defenders at the guard position and has been getting to the rim. Ng is a terror in those passing lanes and in the open court.

(G) Mike Dougherty

Miah is an unmatched scorer in this league but in Dougherty, he encountered the first player to truly shut him down. This will be the match-up to watch.
(F) Lamar Smith

(F) Young Yu

Trillion has a shut-down defender in Smith and an able scorer. He turns it on playoff time. Yu has had a great season and has become as good a playmaker as scorer.
(F) Chris Youn

A

(F) Myong Choi

Youn also turns it on for the playoffs and the 1st rd was very telling. He can do it all. Choi is a crafty veteran that just makes winning plays.
(C) Len Kamdang

B

(F) Tony Hu

Kamdang will eat up space but will have his hands full with Hu, the league's toughest low post scorer. Whether Kamdang can make Hu work on defense may be the key.

2K11 SUM Weekly Player Awards (Playoffs - 1st Rd)FBNYC, 9.18.11
Jason Wu (HYP)
G/F | 6-0 | 190 lbs
1st Rd Playoff Stats
PPG: 22.0
RPG: 6.0
SPG: 3.0

In an upset win over defending champs, IVC, Wu was dynamic. He did everything HYP needed on both sides of the ball to help secure a win. The athletic young (F) has had his share of strong playoff performances. Let's hope it continues.

Runner-Up: Chris Youn (TRI) 19 pts, 7 reb, 5 ast
A. Fonseca (BKA)
G/F | 6-2 | 195 lbs
1st Rd Playoff Stats
PPG: 26.0
APG: 8.0
SPG: 2.0

This is still very much the team to beat and "The Fonz" is the reason why. A nightmare match up one-on-one and a fantastic play-maker on top of that, there's just no way to shut him down at this level. If he's one, BKA will win. Plain and simple.

Runner-Up: Raphael Zahriyeh (BKA) 25 pts, 11 reb
The Sam Lo Award for Hustlers

Delano Dowdie (DBS) 15 reb, 2 blk

In the loss to DFC, Dowdie was the hardest working player on the floor. Arguably, he was the hardest working player all season.

Runner-Up: Dave Liu (HYP) 8 reb, 2 stl, 1 blk
Defensive Player of the Week

Anthony Fonseca (BKA) 2 stl, 2 blk

Fonseca is going to get the double dip this week because his dominance in the 1st rd was apparent on both ends of the court. He was a terror.

Runner-Up: Rowan Hardial (DBS) 8 reb, 1 stl, 2 blk
The High-5 Club

PJ Eannotti (TEC) 6-7-1-1-1
Anthony Fonseca (BKA) 26-4-8-2-2
Rowan Hardial (DBS) 15-8-3-1-2
Ren Hsieh (FBN) 3-4-5-1-1
Tony Hu (DFC) 11-10-2-2-1
Jeffrey Lam (HYP) 3-7-2-1-1
Kash Miah (TRI) 18-4-5-3-2
Zeus Rodriguez (DBS) 17-1-3-4-1

Jason Wu (HYP) 22-6-2-3-1
Circle Rookie of the Week

R. Zahriyeh (BKA) 25 pts, 11 reb

Zahriyeh thrives in the shadow of his teammate Fonseca and he's perfectly happy dropping 20 & 10 with teams paying attention elsewhere.

Runner-Up: Anthony Buck (HYP) 14 pts, 8 reb, 4 ast

The "John Starks" Award

Jon Shlang (TEC) | 1-9 FGs (.)

Shlang did his best to be aggressive and provide an extra scorer for TEC playing without (F) Dinsmore Sohn. The shots just weren't falling.

Dishonorable Mention: Derek Yuan (FBN) 5-14 FGs
The "Chris Dudley" Award

Rowan Hardial (DBS) | 4-9 FTs (.444)

In a winnable game, every FT counts and DBS missed a good amount. As well as Hardial played otherwise, he missed the most.

Dishonorable Mention: Howard Chu (HYP) 3-6 FTs
